AVA Resort Cancun: New Crystal Lagoons Project Progresses Toward June Opening

15 April, 2024 / News

Crystal Lagoons is poised to open a new chapter in the hospitality sector with its upcoming luxury project in Cancun, the largest city on the Yucatán Peninsula and a significant cultural, financial, and tourist hub in Mexico. Crystalline lagoons have enhanced the value of iconic cities in the Aztec country. They are in tourist destinations such as Mazatlán, Cabo San Lucas, Toluca, Veracruz, Monterrey, and Punta Mita. This new complex in Cancun adds to this legacy of success.

In association with the renowned hotel chain AVA, the multinational water-innovation company is developing AVA Resort Cancún, the largest resort in the Mexican Caribbean. It will feature a monumental 2.8-acre crystalline lagoon as its main attraction. This amenity, surrounded by white sand beaches, will offer guests a unique experience with exclusive floating cabanas and diverse water activities.

The complex, scheduled to open in June 2024, will be an innovative and luxurious destination strategically located just 10 minutes from Cancun International Airport and in the heart of the city’s main shopping promenade.

With all rooms facing the sea, AVA Resort Cancún will offer various experiences for all ages, from rooms to villas, all with breathtaking views of the Mexican Caribbean. Six pools, a water park for children, and first-class beach services ensure moments of relaxation and fun for guests. Additionally, the resort will feature high-end boutiques and local shops to provide exclusive shopping options.

Crystal Lagoons® technology is revolutionizing the hotel industry and changing the paradigm of vacation developments. Major international hotel chains such as Marriott, Radisson, Conrad, Hyatt Regency, and AVA recognize the transformative value of crystalline lagoons. They have incorporated this amenity as a critical element in their projects, making them more attractive destinations.

Crystal Lagoons is a pioneer in sustainability and innovation. It will offer an idyllic beach landscape to enjoy a lively life around the lagoon. Guests can relax in one or four water cabins or engage in non-motorized water sports, all in the same body of water”, said Ash Tembe, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for North America at AIC Hotel Group.
