Spanish media outlets highlight Crystal Lagoons’ arrival to Europe

The Spanish news website “Informaria Digital” reported on Crystal Lagoons’ arrival to Europe. The company is opening its first branch office in Barcelona, Spain.

Apart from pinpointing the advantages of Crystal Lagoons’ sustainable concept and technology, the article also reported on Sebastán Pillado’s appointment as the firm’s new Regional Manager for Europe.

Sebastián Pillado is a BA in Business and Finance from UCN and he also holds an MBA degree from Australia’s Macquarie University. Pillado has over 10 years of experience in the fields of international commerce, sales, marketing and the financial market. Previously, he held the position of Director at ProChile’s commercial office in Russia, where he contributed to the growth of Chilean exports to that country. From his new position at Crystal Lagoons, he is expected to lead the growth strategy and the commercial management of the company in the European market, where there are already several projects in evaluation stage.

It is worth mentioning that Crystal Lagoons’ sustainable technology makes possible the construction and maintenance of crystal-clear bodies of water that could be limitless in size at very low costs. These lagoons just need additional water to make up for the effects of evaporation, representing half the water consumption of a park, using up to 30 times less water than a golf course. They also save up to 100 times more chemicals than traditional swimming pools, using just 2% of the energy required by conventional filtration systems.

Founded in 2007 by sciencist and businessman, Fernando Fischmann, up until now the company has been involved in more than 300 projects, in different development stages, in over 60 countries worldwide.
