Mohammed Bin Rashid City-District One: the world’s largest crystal clear lagoon

Multinational innovation company, Crystal Lagoons Corp. has completed stage one of that it will be the world’s largest crystalline lagoon in the upscale Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One residential community, in Dubai.

The first stage of the lagoon is already operative and it covers a surface area of 1.4 hectares with a depth of 2.45 metres and a perimeter length of 578 metres. Once fully complete through a series of interconnecting lagoons, it will form the world’s largest manmade lagoon, covering 40 hectares, almost four-times bigger than the world’s largest existing lagoon.

The new complex, located in the heart of Dubai, considers an investment of 5 billion dollars, and will have the lagoon and its artificial beaches as its central amenity. They will be surrounded by corporate towers, industrial parks, sport areas, a public park larger than London’s Hyde Park, water parks, the “Mall of The World” –the world’s largest- , over 100 hotels and 1500 new super luxury residential condominiums, with housing prices from 7 to 12 million dollars.

The Project is adjacent to the world’s largest racetrack (60,000 spectators), zoos, research centers, libraries, banks, universities, international schools, Golf course and the Al Maktoum mosque all which are already built. With a total area of 400 hectares, 65% of land will be parks and the complex will have the world’s lowest density in its category.

Due to its amazing characteristics, the project has been covered by hundreds of media from all over the world. The project is being developed in partnership with MeydanGroup – the real estate arm of the government of Dubai, linked to the Sobha monarchy, India’s most important construction company.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
