Fernando Fischmann chosen as one of Chile’s seven most regarded scientist in the world

Fernando Fischmann, Crystal Lagoons’ founder and chairman,has been invited to take part of a documentary series about the most regarded Chilean scientists in the world. The innovator will be joined by National Science Award laureates such as Humberto Maturana, Pablo Valenzuela, Andrés Weintraub, María Teresa Ruiz, Juan Carlos Castilla, Cecilia Hidalgo and Gino Casassa.

One of the reasons why the scientist was selected to be part of this initiative is his vision and persistence in developing disruptive technologies in the fields of water and energy that are improving people’s lifestyle and solving some of the most dramatic problems of humanity.

This initiative seeks to portray the science men that “play in the big leagues in the world” and is being supported by Pablo Valenzuela’s Ciencia&Vida Foundation. Aside Fernando Fischmann, the series will feature episodes devoted to the National Science Award laureates Humberto Maturana, Andrés Weintraub, María Teresa Ruiz, Juan Carlos Castilla, Cecilia Hidalgo, Pablo Valenzuela and Gino Casassa.

Crystal Lagoons’ technologic innovation has raised the interest of some of the most prestigious academic and scientific research centers in the world. In fact, the world’s main innovation mentor, Mr. Jay Rao, is leading a research at Babson about the exportation value of this unique concept licensed-protected in 160 countries.

Apart from Babson College, The Institute of Technology (MIT), through its MIT GoLab program has developed a case study about Crystal Lagoons that will be part of the MIT’s Executive MBA (EMBA).

It is worth mentioning that Crystal Lagoons chairman and founder, Fernando Fischmann has been invited as speaker at the US’ main universities, such as Harvard, the MIT, Babson College, The University of California at Berkeley, among many others.

Apart from that, he actively takes part on globally-regarded scientific research centers, such as Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft from Germany, in which he is board director.
