Crystalline lagoon of Lago Mar revolutionizes Texas

“One of the most attractive technological innovations on the planet is making a splash in this Texas city.” This is how the Culture Map highlights the crystalline lagoon of the Lago Mar project.

Is the largest crystalline lagoon developed by Crystal Lagoons in the United States, defined as a great oasis of turquoise waters and one of the main destinations for Spring Break.

The Lago Mar lagoon measures more than half a kilometer from end to end and offers more than a kilometer and a half of the coastline. It is almost six times larger than the state’s first multinational innovation pond, Balmoral. Both projects were developed in conjunction with Land Tejas.

Anyone can access the lagoon after paying a ticket and they’ll be able to enjoy multiple activities in the crystalline waters offered in their 12-acre pure turquoise lagoon, where attendees can partake in activities such as kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, sailboats and an inflatable obstacle course, among many others.

One-of-a-kind experience

Crystal Lagoons is a U.S., Miami-based company that has developed a state-of-the-art, sustainable technology that has been patented worldwide. This allows crystalline lagoons of unlimited sizes to be built and maintained at very low costs anywhere, using a minimum amount of additives and energy.

One of the main characteristics of this innovation is that it is environmentally responsible, since it uses 100 times less chemicals compared to a traditional swimming pool, just 2% of energy than traditional filter systems, and it operates in a closed system where it is only compensated the water that evaporates.
