Crystal Lagoons® Upcoming Project in Dubai to Break Five World Records

Dubai is a destination that never fails to impress. In the coming months, it will be home to another milestone: the opening of the world’s largest crystalline lagoon powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology.
The pure turquoise lagoon anchors the Mohammed Bin Rashid City – District One project, and will span almost 100 acres, setting Crystal Lagoons’ third world record. The water feature will be seven kilometers long and surrounded hiking and biking trails and green landscaping, converting the project into a true oasis.
But the project will also beat other records. In addition to boasting the world’s largest crystalline lagoon, Mohammed Bin Rashid City – District One will set the record as the world’s tallest residential tower with the highest 360-degree observation deck, sitting 711 meters above ground level.
It will also host the world’s highest restaurant at 675 meters, the longest indoor ski slope (1.2 kilometers in length), and the largest dancing fountain.
The monumental lagoon will also be surrounded by corporate towers, industrial parks, sport facilities, a public park larger than London’s Hyde Park, the “Meydan Mall” –the world’s largest–, over 100 hotels and numerous super luxury residentialcondominiums. Reaching up to 12 million US dollars, these properties were declared the most expensive in the country during 2019.
The project is under development by Crystal Lagoons in partnership with Meydan Group and Sobha, India’s most important real estate and construction firm.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
