Crystal Lagoons’ technology captivates American communities

Crystal Lagoons’ concept and technology is not just captivating American real estate developers. The online American website Chron.com reported that many communities across the U.S. are interested in Crystal Lagoons’ high-tech lagoons and now are starting to demand this amenity as part of their projects.

The article says that the Miami-based innovation multinational whose patented technology makes it possible to build efficient artificial lagoons is currently in the process of establishing a Houston presence.

The company is in negotiations with local developers highly interested in creating paradise-like settings to lure prospective property buyers. These settings include beach-like swim areas that can accommodate the practice of water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking and sailing.

“Our crystal clear lagoons are suitable for swimming and water sports. The crystal clear water provides a safe place where people can swim and practice water sports”, said Uri Man, CEO of Crystal Lagoons.

This massive lagoons only need water to compensate evaporation and have a water consumption level equivalent to half a park and up to 30 times less than a traditional golf course. Additionally, they use up to 100 times less chemicals than traditional drinking water and swimming pool disinfection systems, and up to 2% of the energy consumption of conventional filtration systems.

The first lagoon at the San Alfonso del Mar resort located on Chile’s Pacific Coast won the Guinness World Record in 2007 for the world’s largest lagoon. It is 3,300 feet long.

The company currently has 35 projects in five states in the U.S. and is also involved in the development of over 300 projects in 60 countries worldwide. Crystal Lagoons is currently developing a massive lagoon at the Sharm El Sheikh resort in Egypt and the Dream City development in Prune India. It has already built large lagoons and pools at a Dead Sea resort in Jordan as well as resorts and developments in Mexico, Indonesia, Thailand, Peru, Saudi Arabia and Brazil.
