Media highlights Crystal Lagoons® projects in Spain

20 September, 2021 / News

Europa Press, one of the world’s leading news agencies, highlighted the progress that Crystal Lagoons® projects are making in Spain. Following the success of the Alcazaba Lagoon development in Malaga, Spain, and the Public Access Lagoons™ project Alovera outside of Madrid, a new project, Santa Rosalia Lake Resort, is now completed in Murcia.

“In Spain, investors have identified the advantages of these projects, which increase the value of the square meter and deliver a unique amenity that brings beach life to cities and anywhere. Public access complexes have been proven to be tremendously attractive and profitable, so investors take positions for their long-term safety and limited risk. In fact, in Spain it is planned to develop more than 25 of these complexes in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Ávila, Seville, Zaragoza, and Malaga, among other cities”, explains Francisco Matte, Regional Director of Crystal Lagoons®.

Notably, important master agreements have already been signed in relevant markets such as the USA (21 PAL), Korea (30 PAL), Pakistan (15 PAL) and Central America (18 PAL). Also in Europe, there are successful developments in Turkey and Romania; and Crystal Lagoons® continues its negotiations for exclusive licensing agreements involving a significant number of PAL™ projects, with foreign investors and funds in Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Portugal and Italy (for Milan, Verona, Rome and Naples).

Due to its technology and urban location, PAL™ developments have the additional advantage of being sustainable due to their low use of water, energy savings and by reducing the environmental impact derived from transporting people to tourist places, reducing the carbon footprint.

The public access developments are monumental crystalline lagoons surrounded by white sands with more or less infrastructure around them. The most complete ones have spaces for fairs, launches, food-halls, weddings, concerts in multiple stages and beaches, terraces, domes, as well as gastronomy, retail, amphitheaters and shows.
