Crystal Lagoons has again captured global media attention with the impact of its latest announcement in the United States. Over 500 international media outlets, including major names like Yahoo! Finance, AP, FOX, NBC, ABC, and CBS, have spotlighted the revolutionary project that promises to transform Columbia, South Carolina’s capital, into an innovative year-round beach destination despite being a landlocked city.

This massive interest reflects the appeal of Crystal Lagoons® technology, which allows the creation of monumental crystalline lagoons in urban, non-coastal environments, redefining the lifestyle of its residents. The new development, Oak Hills, combines innovation, sustainability, and a unique entertainment experience.

Featuring a monumental 4.8-acre crystalline lagoon surrounded by white sandy beaches, Oak Hills will offer two distinct areas: a private zone for residents and luxury hotel guests and a public access area, accessible to all through ticketed entry, with all the features of the Public Access Lagoons® model, also known as PAL® developments. Additionally, it will include extensive commercial and entertainment infrastructure featuring restaurants, terraces, parks, a wedding peninsula, children’s areas, and spaces for sports and events.

The project is part of an agreement with Contender Development, Broadstreet, Inc., and Blue Lagoon Development LLC. to develop four complexes in the state. “The Crystal Lagoons® at Oak Hills will provide exceptional, safe, and enjoyable recreational spaces for all ages.
