Munyaka: South Africa’s largest crystalline lagoon was inaugurated

The monumental crystalline lagoon of turquoise waters and white sands at the Munyaka project near Johannesburg in the Midrand region is a landmark as the largest in the country. It covers an area of approximately seven rugby fields and providing a new Johannesburg beach experience.

Recently, this emblematic and award-winning project powered by Crystal Lagoons in association with the country’s leading developer, Balwin Properties, was inaugurated. Munyaka has been awarded, became a sales success -in only four days 550 apartments were sold- and was highlighted by the President of the Republic for its urban contribution.

“Munyaka will bring South Africa to life and boost its economy. This is a magical place. Looking at the lagoon and the outdoor spaces, I think this is the way to build great communities,” said Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic.

Due to its spectacular nature, this ultra-luxury residential complex has been highlighted by the press on countless occasions and has been defined as “Johannesburg’s first beach”.
