Media Outlets Highlight Crystal Lagoons’ European Arrival

“Hosteltur”, the renowned media outlet specialized Tourism, highlighted Crystal Lagoons’ European arrival with its new Spanish offices and the naming of Sebastián Pillado as Regional Director.

The publication stressed that the innovation multinational has had an exponential growth, expanding in seven years from a single project to over 300 initiatives worldwide today. This compelled the firm to strengthen its leadership team in a first line market such as Europe.

The new Crystal Lagoons office, located in Barcelona, will make it possible to consolidate the company’s growth strategy in the European market, where it’s already evaluating several projects. The new Regional Director has over 10 years of experience in international commerce, sales, marketing and financial markets. Previously, Pillado was Director of ProChile’s Russia Commercial Office, where he contributed to the strengthening of Chile’s exports to that country, to Chile’s positioning in the distribution chain, and to improving awareness of our country’s export offer in the Russian regions and the Horeca sector.

Hosteltur also stressed the environmental sustainability qualities of Crystal Lagoons’ technology. Crystalline lagoons only require water to compensate evaporation and have a water consumption level approximately equivalent to half a park and up to 30 times less than a golf course; use up to 100 times less chemicals than traditional pool systems and have an energy consumption level equivalent to up to 2% of conventional filtration systems.

Today, the innovation multinational has a folder with over 300 urban, tourism, public and industrial projects in 60 countries, in different stages of development. One of them, under development in Dubai, will set 6 world records when its construction is finished in 5 years, including the world’s largest crystalline lagoon with 40 hectares.
