Media highlight new honor awarded to Fernando Fischmann

“El Mercurio”, one of Latin-America’s most important newspapers highlighted the new honor awarded to Crystal Lagoons, the Miami-based multinational company linked to Fernando Fischmann.

The renowned publication states that the Faculty of Engineering of the Adolfo Ibañez University (UAI) celebrated the “day of engineering” giving the Technological Innovation Award to Fernando Fischmann, science man, founder and chairman of Crystal Lagoons. The multinational company was awarded for the positive impact its innovations have had on the real estate markets worldwide.

This award recognizes people, corporations and institutions that have developed and implemented novel technological innovations that have caused great positive impact in the development of the country. In the particular case of Crystal Lagoons, The Adolfo Ibañez University highlights the international impact that the company’s innovation has caused in this quarter of a century and its exportation value, which has generated a revolution in the real estate markets worldwide.

During the event, where students, schoolars and special guests were in attendance, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Science, Alejandro Jadrsic, gave the award to Fernando Fischmann who presented Crystal Lagoons’ amazing success story. The company is currently present all over the world with more than 300 projects.

The event had in attendance UAI’s Dean, Andrés Benítez; The head of the Engineering School, Christián Hermansen; and Corfo’s Entrepreneuship Manager, Into Nuñez

The award also recognizes the company’s contribution to positioning Chile’s profile abroad, providing international reach. Crystal Lagoons has become in the Chilean innovation emblem and an example of knowledge exportation.

This honor adds to the array of awards that Crystal Lagoons and its founder have received, locally and internationally. Among them it is worth mentioning the Best Innovator, Entrepreneur and Businessman awards (Ernst & Young), which has made Fernando Fischmann the only Chilean who has honored with these three awards. The Governor of Florida, Ricj Scott, also honored Fernando Fischmann for its career as innovator and as international business ambassador.

In addition, the multinational company has recently been awarded “Best New Business” in Florida by the Great Miami Chamber of Commerce. Before that, the company had also received the “Keys of Miami”, an important honor awarded by the Beacon Council, Official Economic Development Organization of the Miami Dade County, and that is awarded yearly.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
