French press chooses San Alfonso del Mar as one of the most impressive lagoons in the world

A new recognition in the international press the iconic crystalline lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar added.

The French magazine “Le Petit Quotidien” highlighted San Alfonso del Mar as one of the most impressive lagoons in the world due to its 8 hectares, its 1 kilometre of longitude and 250 cubic meters of water.

The Gallic publication defines the lagoon at the complex in Algarrobo as “Giant”, given that it is the current holder of the Guinness World Record as the greatest crystalline manmade lagoon. San Alfonso del Mar shares this exclusive space with other world icons such as the world’s deepest swimming pool in Italy and the world’s highest swimming pool in Singapore.

Since San Alfonso de Mar was certified as the world’s greatest manmade lagoon in 2007, it became an international attraction that till today it raises the interest of myriad media in every single country. In fact, just six months after the lagoon was certified by Guinness, there were more than 2.000 TV channels, newspapers and magazines that actually visited the lagoon.
