8 January, 2015 / News

Crystal Lagoons US, Corp. announced today a major deal with Tavistock Development Company, a subsidiary of Tavistock Group, to develop a Crystal Lagoon, an 11-acre recreational, manmade lake with crystal clear waters, that will be a centerpiece of a new, luxury resortdevelopment within the 7,000-acre development of Lake Nona in Orlando, Florida.  This will be the largest planned Crystal Lagoons in the U.S. to date.

These massive lagoons create large-scale, Caribbean-style beachfront recreational locations anywhere, ideal for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and sailing in a safe and fun environment. Major media including National Geographic, Popular Mechanics, International Business Times and Bloomberg Television have celebrated Crystal Lagoons for revolutionizing the world’s real estate sectors and for its innovative water treatment technology- resulting in up to 100 times fewer additives, and averaging only two percent of the energy required by traditional water filtration systems.

Crystal Lagoons is currently finalizing a 90-acre lagoon in Dubai. These new lagoons are making their U.S. debut via new projects throughout Florida, plus more in the works in other states. The first lagoon was built 17 years ago in Chile and still holds the Guinness World Record as the largest swimming pool in the world, at 20 acres in size. The project successfully broke all real estate sales forecasts many times over, which is why developers worldwide are seizing upon thisnew trend.

Crystal Lagoons is an international technology company with its U.S. headquarters in Miami and offices throughout the world in Chile, Amsterdam and Dubai. The company is revolutionizing the real estate market with its transformative technology that allows for the low-cost construction and maintenance of unlimited-sized crystal-clear lagoons that deliver large-scale beachfront landscapes anywhere in the world, adding enormous value to new and existing real estate projects. The bold new science behind Crystal Lagoons means they use less water than golf courses, and maintain sustainability levels ongoing. This is especially true in some rain-intensive states like Florida – where the lagoons can be refilled with direct rainwater and therefore practically do not require make-up water to compensate for evaporation.

“We are very excited about our partnership with Lake Nona on what will be a signature project for Crystal Lagoons,” said Kevin P. Morgan, CEO, Crystal Lagoons US, Corp.  “This will definitely set a new bar as one of our most luxurious projects to date and help to continue to grow the brand in the United States.”

The 11-acre Crystal Lagoon will be part of a new, luxury resort development located nearLake Nona’s emerging sports innovation and performance district featuring the United States Tennis Association’s ‘New Home of American Tennis,’ the largest tennis complex in the world with more than 100 courts.

Recently acclaimed by FORTUNE Magazine as a model for the next great American city, Lake Nona is one of the fastest growing communities in America attracting more than $2.8 billion in construction across 7.1 million square feet with the development of two new hospitals, three college campuses, a nationally recognized medical research institute, the USTA’s ‘New Home of American Tennis’ and thousands of new homes. Adjacent to the Orlando International Airport, Lake Nona will feature more than five million square feet of commercial space, 2,200 hotel rooms, 30,000 residents and more than 100 shops and restaurants. “In Central Florida, the freshwater lakes are one of the region’s best amenities,” said James Zboril, president of Tavistock Development Company. “We are excited to collaborate with Crystal Lagoons and celebrate the best of Central Florida’s lifestyle. Water provides terrific views and a wide range of recreational uses, and these new beachfront-style experiences that will only add value to our world-class development.”   With a real estate portfolio highlighted by Lake Nona, Tavistock Development Company is setting a new standardfor the way in which business and residential communities are being built, focusing on high-quality, innovative development.
