Crystal Lagoons to Develop New PAL™ Projects in Brazilian Malls

This added value provided by the Crystal Lagoons® technology explains the rapid growth of Public Access Lagoons™ projects in the country.

In this context, the multinational water-innovation company signed a new master agreement to develop 11 PAL™ projectswith Iguatemi and Grupo Ivanhoe de Ancar, two of the most essential chains in this industry locally. Outlet Park Holding, with extensive experience in the Brazilian retail sector, will also be involved in this agreement. It encompasses Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso Sur, Paraná, Goiânia, and Goiás projects.

Each project, with Belo Horizonte as the first, will feature a distinctive crystalline lagoon surrounded by white sandy beaches, complemented by a shopping center offering various retail options. Additionally, hotels, spaces for fairs, multifamily areas, restaurants, event spaces, multiple stages, terraces, theaters, and other facilities will be integrated, adapting to the uniqueness of each development.

It is estimated that each complex, accessible to anyone via ticketed entry, will attract approximately 500,000 annual visits. The value of developments with crystalline lagoons in Brazil lies in their year-round availability, thanks to the absence of climatic seasonality in the country. Furthermore, PAL™ projects will bring an idyllic beach lifestyle to the second coastline or inland plots in a country known for its sand and sea.

Crystal Lagoons’ current portfolio in Brazil includes 45 projects in different stages of development and negotiation with the country’s leading developers. Some emblematic projects are ‘Brasil Beach Cuiabá Home & Resort’ in the State of Mato Grosso and the exclusive second home complex ‘Ponta da Figueira,’ in association with Melnick-Even, one of the most influential managers in the Brazilian market.
