Crystal Lagoons Once Again Heads Merco 2018 Ranking

Monitor Empresarial de Reputación Corporativa (Merco), a reputational assessment instrument and prominent benchmark monitor, has released its 2018 ranking. In this latest edition, both Crystal Lagoons® and its founder, the scientist Fernando Fischmann, occupy prominent positions, as they have done so in the last five years.
Launched in 2000, Merco uses a multistakeholder methodology based on 5 evaluations and 12 sources of information.
In the case of Crystal Lagoons, the multinational company stands out for revolutionizing the real estate market both in Chile and internationally, as well as for its capacity to boost sales and increase the value per square meter of any project and land site. The multinational has patented innovation in 190 countries, and is the only firm in the world capable of developing idyllic beaches and man-made crystalline lagoons. The firm currently has 600 projects in different stages of development in 60 countries around the globe.
Furthermore, the biochemist and businessman Fernando Fischmann, founder of Crystal Lagoons also appears in the ranking of Best Corporate Reputation. This latest honor is part of a list of other prestigious international awards he has been awarded, such as “Entrepreneur of the Year”, “Innovator of the Year”, and “Businessman of the Year”. In 2016, in Rome, he received The Stevie® Award, popularly known as The Oscars of the business world, previously awarded to Steve Jobs and Jeff Bezos. He was also been honored with the Green Apple Award at Britain’s House of Commons, London, two years in a row (2016, 2017) for his industrial cooling technologies.
Merco is the first audited monitor in the world. The monitoring and verification of its elaboration and results process is subject to independent review by KPMG, according to the ISAE 3000 standard, which publishes its verdict of each edition. All assessment criteria is public and, like the results of each edition, can be consulted on the Merco website.
