Crystal Lagoons launched in London project that will break six world records

Zawya, Middle East branch of the renowned international news network, Thompson Reuters, highlighted the launch event of Crystal Lagoons’ Dubai project, which will feature the world’s largest crystal clear lagoon.

At the Dorchester Hotel in London, one of the world’s most exclusive and luxurious hotels, and with a selected group of some of Asia’s, Europe’s and Middle East’s most important executives in attendance, Crystal Lagoons launched the super luxury project “Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum City – District One”, which will break six world records once completed in 2020.

At Dubai’s central axis, the project being developed by the multinational will represent a US$ 7 thousand million investment and is carried out by a joint venture between Meydan Group – Dubai’s government real estate branch, linked to the monarchy – and Sobha, India’s main real estate firm.

The project considers a 40-hectare crystal clear lagoon. With this, Crystal Lagoons will break its third Guinness World Record. This massive lagoon will extend through seven kilometers and it will be surrounded by white sand beaches and pathways. The surroundings will feature lush green landscapes that will provoke the impression of being in a real oasis.

Around the mega lagoons corporate towers; an industrial parks; sports areas; a public park of a similar size of London’s Hyde Park; water parks; “The Meydan Mall”, -the world’s largest one-; more than 100 hotels; and 1500 new super luxury condo units which costs will range between 7 to 12 million dollars will be built. Apart from the world’s largest crystal clear lagoon, the project will also break other five world records with the highest residential tower, the longest indoor ski slope, the highest 360-degree observation deck, the highest restaurant, and the largest dancing fountain.

Up until now, the multinational company totalizes more than 40 projects in different development stages in the Middle East, in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, among others.
