25 July, 2022 / News

Once again, the 15-acre crystalline lagoon at Treasure Bay Bintan Resort in Indonesia is making headlines. This time, it was highlighted by TribunJogja.com as a major attraction of this global tourist destination.

Is the largest lagoon developed with Crystal Lagoons® patented technology in Southeast Asia. It is surrounded by 1,400 meters of white sandy beaches, is 800 meters long and has a maximum depth of 2.5 meters.

It was developed under the Public Access Lagoons™ model, also known as PAL™ developments, where people can access the lagoon through paid daily tickets. Among the amenities incorporated in the lagoon are a bungee jumping platform and a water ski cable installation. It also offers a wide range of water activities, from boating, water slides, paddle boarding, kayaking and wakeboarding for everyone in the family.

The complex has restaurants, clubs and retail, around 3,000 second home units and 4 and 5-star hotels, responding to Singapore’s growing demand for tourist and recreational spaces.

One of the main characteristics of Crystal Lagoons® technology it its sustainability, as it uses 100 times less chemicals compared to a traditional pool, only 2% less energy than traditional filtering systems, and operates in a closed system where only the water that evaporates is compensated.
