Crystal Lagoons Invited to Present Its Public Access Lagoons Model at Congress Held by World Leisure Organization

12 September, 2018 / News

Crystal Lagoons® Regional Director for South America, Cristóbal Comandari was invited to present the revolutionary concept known as Public Access Lagoons (PALs) during the most important entertainment and leisure congress, which took place in Sao Paulo, Brazil. It was organized by the World Leisure Organization.

The executive participated in the panel Leisure Management: Current Challenges and Prospects that aimed to encourage the industry to reflect and debate about current challenges concerning the leisure industry in the area of entertainment and leisure. The objective was to break down the physical, socio-economic and symbolic barriers that still hinder access to these kinds of activities.

Cristóbal Comandari discussed the PALs model, as a means to help overcome these barriers. The aim of PALs is to improve the quality of life for members of the community, by allowing everyone to access a crystalline lagoon and beach life by simply paying an entrance fee. Up until now, they have been accessible exclusively to residents of the condo complexes in which they are situated.

What makes PALs attractive is their contribution to urban developments and how they promote a healthy and active lifestyle. It is these benefits that have allowed them be included in 40 projects throughout Africa, Asia, Oceania, Europe, South America, and the United States, where they have been widely accepted.

Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
