11 September, 2015 / News

“Saudi Gazette”, one of Saudi Arabia’s premier newspapers, said that the “star” Cityscape Global –the most important real estate event in the Middle East- was the project being developed by Crystal Lagoons in Dubai.

Meydan City, the project under development by the innovation multinational in partnership with a joint venture of Meydan Group –the real estate branch of the Dubai Government, linked to the monarchy – and Sobha, India’s most important real estate and construction firm, will have the world’s largest crystalline lagoon. The lagoon will have 40 hectares when finished by 2020.

The crystalline mega lagoon, that will set Crystal Lagoons’ third Guinness World Record, will be seven kilometers long and will be surrounded by white sand beaches and hiking and biking trails. The environs will have lush green landscaping, giving the impression of being in a true oasis.

The publication also stressed that the super luxurious real estate development, with an associated investment of US$7 billion, in addition to boasting the world’s largest crystalline lagoon, will set another five Guinness World Records with the world’s largest  residential tower and indoor ski slope, the highest 360 observation deck, the highest restaurant and the planet’s largest water fountain.

The mega lagoon will also be surrounded by corporate towers, industrial parks, sport facilities, a public part larger than London’s Hyde Park, water parks , the “Meydan Mall” –the world’s largest-, over 100 hotels and 1500 new super luxury residential condominiums, with housing prices from US$ 7 million and US$ 12 million.

To strengthen this market, Crystal Lagoons recently named Carlos Salas to the position of Regional Director for the Middle East. The executive will be responsible of deepening the multinational’s expansion in the region, where the company has over 40 projects at different stages of development, in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Oman, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, among others, valuated in over US$ 13 billion.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, wich has developed a patented technology  that makes it possible to build and operate crystalline lagoons of unlimited size at very low costs.
