Crystal Lagoons comes to India with a lagoon that is navigable by taxis

The Chilean firm Crystal Lagoons-linked to Fernando Fischmann- settled on its entry to India, the world’s second most populated country: more than 1.200 million people.

The company did this taking part on the real estate project Dream City, located in Pune, one of the nations’ greatest cities.  There a 5.5 to 6-hectare crystalline lagoon will be built. The original feature of this lagoon is that it displays an unprecedented design that makes it extend across the entire complex through channels, becoming the projects’ transportation structural axis, navigable through water taxis.

The initiative will have a US$1.5000 million associated investment. It considers more than one million constructed square meters in residential and corporative buildings that total eight thousand luxury units, to which will join a five stars hotel, marinas, educational centres, restaurants, exotic gardens and wide green areas, multi cinemas and exposition saloons, among a total of 250 amenities, Crystal Lagoons reported.

The lagoon and the entire ensemble of recreational areas that surround it consider a US$200 million investment, 20% of the whole project.

The complex will be developed in partnership with DSK group, leader real estate company in India with more than 30 years of experience and a powerful holding that has businesses in informatics, cars, hotels, travel, education and finances, among other areas. The project is already in development and considers an estimated period of completion of 10 to 15 years.

Crystal Lagoons stated that the complex could not exist without the lagoon, since Pune is an interior Indian city that lacks coast. The company mentioned that in that area the water has a very high price and sets up the land sites to develop a project of this kind.

“Dream City represents Crystal Lagoons arrival to a gigantic market with limitless commercial projections. In addition, the real estate challenge was to differentiate ourselves from the rest in order to build an unparallel complex”, Kevin P. Morgan, Crystal Lagoons USA CEO stated.

The company is in conversations for new projects in India. They even signed a pre agreement to develop a lagoon in northern India.

Currently, Crystal Lagoons is present in 60 countries, in the five continents, totalizing about 300 urban, public, and industrial projects.
