Crystal Lagoons and Chilean National Football Team debut in Punta del Este

16 January, 2015 / News

Not just football supporters are arriving these days to Punta del Este, host city of the Chilean Under 20 National Football Team matches in the South American Championship celebrated in Uruguay, but also Crystal Lagoons, the Chilean iconic innovation company. Crystal Lagoons will complete its first crystalline lagoon in that country soon, precisely at the Solanas Vacation Club, the same complex where Chile’s Under 20 National Football Team chose as its headquarters for the tournament.

Crystal Lagoons Corp.’ premier in Uruguay will be with a 2.8-hectare navigable crystalline lagoon surrounded by wide dream world beaches in a luxurious development that currently is South America’s biggest vocational complex. Solanas Resort considers a total real estate investment of US$ 140 million, carried out by Grupo Solanas, one of South America’s most relevant tourism-real estate holdings, with more than 30 years of experience and with operations in Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil.

Chile’s Under 20 National Football Team’s “bunker” also has boutique private neighborhoods, an extraordinary hotel complex, apart from other attractions such as 140 hectares of parks, entertainment zones, and sports fields for different disciplines, amphitheatre, and a riding club. Due to its big dimensions, the complex does not just only host the Chilean National Football Team but also Colombia’s and Venezuela’s teams, Chile’s rivals on the tournament.

“The Punta del Este project represents our debut in Uruguay – as well as for Chile’s Under 20 National Football Team – in one of the touristic icons of Latin America, and it foresees a quick Crystal Lagoons’ expansion in that market. We have consolidated our crystalline lagoons in the most sophisticated touristic zones of the world”, Francisco Matte, Crystal Lagoons’ Commercial Director states.

The alliance that Crystal Lagoons developed with Solanas will enhance the tourism expansion possibilities of Punta del Este, whose developable land sites with coastal borders have ran out of space and have turned too densified.

The Chilean innovation provides attractiveness to inner zones, allowing the expansion of Punta del Este tourism and real estate capacity that will enjoy all the benefits of this Uruguayan watering place.
