Crystal Lagoons Changes the Real Estate Paradigm in Colombia

Juan Pablo García, CEO of AED Constructores, highlighted in an interview with Tiempo newspaper the value the Crystal Lagoons concept brings to the projects, recognized worldwide as the best amenity. “Their patented technology has transformed how Colombians live in their homes, allowing the development of crystalline water lagoons and beaches within our residential projects.” This success led AED to finalize a master agreement with Crystal Lagoons to develop 13 projects with crystalline lagoons in the Colombian Caribbean and the Coffee Region, including cities such as Barranquilla, Santa Marta, Pereira, and Cartagena de Indias”.

Azul de Arenas is part of this agreement and marks Crystal Lagoons entry into Latin American retail as part of the Colombian Caribbean’s largest shopping and entertainment center. The project’s centerpiece in Cartagena de Indias will be a 3-hectare crystalline lagoon suitable for swimming and water sports.

This way, the multinational water innovation company materializes a new Public Access Lagoons™ project in the coffee-growing country. The 120-hectare development is located in this dynamically growing city. It will be one of the most important commercial projects, with 110,000 m² of leasable area, highlighting its design and sustainable urbanism, characteristics of Crystal Lagoons® technology.
