Crystal Lagoons Brings a Turquoise Oasis and Beach Life to Pretoria25 October, 2018 / News
Cosmopolitan and safe, the city of Pretoria -administrative capital of South Africa- is located in a warm and fertile valley, far from the sea. However, despite being 600 kilometers from the coast, it now includes a Crystal Lagoons® amenity. An artificial lagoon of 1.5 hectares, the amenity is available to residents of the real estate community known as The Blyde, a joint venture developed with the construction company Balwin Properties.
Inaugurated in September, the high-level real estate development in Riverwalk, located in the Eastern part of the capital, includes an artificial lagoon with crystalline waters (equivalent to two rugby pitches in size) that depends on an innovation created by Crystal Lagoons. The company’s technology is patented in 190 countries. It is the first of its kind in sub-Saharan Africa.
Crystal Lagoons, a multinational company specializing in water innovation, teamed up with Balwin Properties to bring an ecological beach to Pretoria, as well as offering residents the opportunity enjoy white sand beaches and crystal clear turquoise waters during their leisure time. The real estate project also features a business center and is designed to improve the everyday living of its residents with restaurants, a gym, sports courts and a spa.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
