The innovation multinational firm received the award that honors the globalized companies that are positively impacting Florida’s economy and that are generating employment in the State.

Crystal Lagoons received a new honor in the US, this time on behalf of one of the most relevant business advocacy groups of that country. The innovation multinational company was awarded by the Great Miami Chamber of Commerce as the “Best New Business” in the State of Florida during 2015, in a ceremony with more than 500 high-ranked executives of Florida’s main companies in attendance.

This recognition, awarded for the 8th time in a row, honors the globalized companies that are positively impacting Florida’s economy and generating employment in that state, boosting their business sectors and reaching standards of excellence in their operations.

This time, Crystal Lagoons won over the renowned coffee franchise Juan Valdez Café. The other finalists were the successful American supermarket chain Whole Foods Markets, Royal Caribbean, Discovery Networks and UPS. In previous years, the award has been given to companies such as Burger King, Western Union, Hewlett Packard, DHL and LAN Airlines, among others.

“We are very proud of this honor awarded by one of the main American business organizations for our contribution to the real estate sector in Florida. We have raised great interest in our crystal clear lagoons, not just in this State –where we already have 5 projects-, but also throughout the whole nation, where we have other 35 projects in different development stages in states such as Texas, Nevada, Arizona, California, and Hawaii, among others”, Kevin P. Morgan, Crystal Lagoons US’ CEO said.

Florida has been the entering gate for Crystal Lagoons in the US. From the contracts in execution, four of them belong to a partnership agreement with the real estate firm Metro Development Group and they are located in Pasco, Hillsborough and Lee counties, with a total investment of US$ 3,6 million.

The fifth most relevant project is in partnership with Tavisctock Group, owned by Joe Lewis, an English millionaire, business partner of Tiger Woods, one of the richest men on Earth, to develop Lake Nona, the greatest mega-project ever built up to date in that state, with an investment of US$ 8 thousand million.

This new award in the US adds to the honor the Governor of Florida, Rick Scott, gave to Crystal Lagoons’ founder, Fernando Fischmann, for his career as innovator and ambassador of international business; as well as the prestigious award “Keys of Miami”, an honor handed out by Beacon Council, Miami Dade County’s official economic development organization. Crystal Lagoons has raised great interest among US authorities and real estate developers due to the revolutionary impact the company’s concept and technology is generating on the people’s lifestyle.

At international level, Crystal Lagoons’ concept has captivated academic institutions such as the MIT, which is currently approaching Crystal Lagoons as a case of study; universities such as Harvard, California Berkeley, and Babson College; apart from innovation entities from Silicon Valley.
