Crystal Lagoons announces new clear water lagoon project for Dubai

Majid Al Futtaim has signed a deal with multinational water-innovation company, Crystal Lagoons® to develop the swimmable clear water lagoon at its under-development, flagship, mixed-use community, Tilal Al Ghaf.
According to a statement, the 70,000sqm manmade lagoon will be the heart of the mixed-use community and is in line with its strategy to offer diverse, family-friendly recreational choices.
Aside from swimming, the lagoon will play host to several active water sports, including kayaking and stand-up paddle-boarding.
In addition to the lagoon, the project will feature around 355,000sqm of landscaped open space and will include green spaces, play areas, 18km of walkable trails and 11km of cycling paths.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
