The renowned Codé Nast’s publication, Brides.com, chose Crystal Lagoon’s iconic project, San Alfonso del Mar, as one of the world’s best destinations for honeymoons.

According to the American website “this Chilean megaresort has a crystal clear lagoon so sprawling, you can kayak and windsurf in it. And how’s this for honeymoon bragging rights? Once you’ve taken a dip in this half-mile-long, 20-acre playground, you’ll be able to tell your friends back home that you’ve paddled in the largest man-made lagoon on Earth; San Alfonso del Mar”.

Since San Alfonso de Mar was certified as the world’s greatest manmade lagoon in 2007, it became an international attraction that keeps raising the interest of myriad media worldwide. In fact, just six months after the lagoon was certified by the World Record Guinness, there were more than 2.000 TV channels, newspapers and magazines visiting the lagoon.

This was Crystal Lagoons’ first project and it was built 17 years ago in Chile and it still holds the Guinness World Record as the largest crystal clear lagoon in the world, at 20 acres in size. The project reportedly broke all real estate sales forecasts many times over.

In fact, San Alfonso del Mar is the iconic project that enabled the consolidation of the export model for the world’s largest crystalline lagoons that today are part of more than 300 international developments.
