Crystal Lagoons: an Innovation that makes unlimited size crystal clear lagoons possible

The influential architecture specialized portal Arq.com, highlighted Crystal Lagoons’ innovation that makes it possible to develop unlimited size crystal clear lagoons. The publication emphasizes the technology’s sustainable features, as it uses up to 100 times less chemicals than traditional swimming pool systems and consumes 2% of the energy needed by conventional filtration systems.

“The lagoons created with this system can be used both for bathing and to enjoy nautical sports (such as swimming and sailing), and represent an added value for any real estate project”, the article adds.

The feature highlights that the first crystal clear lagoon built by Crystal Lagoons was San Alfonso del Mar, that obtained the World Guinness Record for the world’s largest lagoon, and that this helped to boost the technology at the international level.

The news outlet also stresses that the innovation multinational’s technology has expanded to industrial applications, such as the sustainable cooling system for thermoelectric power plants, water pretreatment for desalination by reverse osmosis, seawater purification for a wide range of industries, including mining, and also for energy efficient desalination, via membrane distillation.

“The firm currently has a portfolio with over 300 urban, tourist, public, and industrial initiatives in 60 countries, under different stages of development. One of them, underway in Dubai, will obtain 6 world records after completion, including the world’s largest lagoon with 40 hectares”, reported Arq.com.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
