In total, 24 international awards exhibit Crystal Lagoons and its founder, the scientist Fernando Fischmann, in various areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, real estate market, business environment, corporate reputation, creativity, talent attraction, among others.

The multinational water innovation firm, with its technology that allows the development of large bodies of water in a crystalline state, and the constant innovation of its founder, have been in tune with the sustainable and urban challenges that are currently of concern throughout the world, such as carbon neutrality and innovation, generating new solutions that allow us to overcome them.

The constant development of responses to these challenges has meant that both and their creator have been awarded in different parts of the world. The most recent, the Green World Environment Award and the Green Apple Award, recognized during 2021 precisely the ecological aspect of the Public Access Lagoons™ also known as PAL™ developments, that the water multinational develops on the five continents. These complexes would reduce the carbon footprint in tourism and transport by more than 40%, equivalent to 14 million tons of CO2, by reducing trips to coastal destinations by around 50%.

These projects, which anyone can access after paying a ticket, avoid travel and generate savings in the carbon footprint equivalent to the annual energy consumption of 2.3 billion homes or 51.3 billion kilometers by car, They allow people to access the beach on foot, by bicycle, using public transport or on short car trips.

In the ecological field, recognitions are added to sustainable cooling technology for industrial processes with the National Environment Award and a second Green Apple Award.

Also in 2021, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) recognized the impact of Fernando Fischmann‘s inventiveness and the correct use of the patenting system worldwide, awarding him the Gold Medal for Inventors. WIPO, a UN agency dedicated to promoting the protection of scientific, literary, artistic or industrial works, highlighted the more than 2,630 patents in 190 countries registered today by the portfolio of innovations developed by Fischmann.

In the United States, the main market for Crystal Lagoons in the world, both the scientist and the company were awarded the Gold Stevie® Award, called the “Oscars of business”, as “Innovator of the Year”, in the case of Fischmann and as “Innovation of the Year, for Crystal Lagoons® technology.
