Crystal Lagoons Shines at International Aquatic Technology Innovation Fair

7 October, 2024 / News

Crystal Lagoons was invited to present at the 2024 edition of PiscinaSpain, one of the leading international aquatic technology events. Once again, it stood out for its disruptive innovation that has revolutionized the world. The fair, held in Málaga, gathered more than 7,000 professionals, including architects, developers, hoteliers, and municipal representatives, all interested in the latest trends and technologies in the aquatic sector.

Jean Pierre Juanchich, Global Business Director of Crystal Lagoons, showcased the company’s success story during the event. The company currently has over 1,000 projects in various development and negotiation stages in more than 60 countries. He highlighted the exponential growth and impact of the Public Access Lagoons® model, also known as PAL® projects.

PAL® developments, accessible to all through ticketed entry, have the unique appeal of bringing idyllic beach life just steps away from homes in the middle of the city while also offering event spaces with unparalleled scenic beauty, thanks to its large turquoise monumental crystalline lagoon surrounded by white sandy beaches, which are illuminated at night, creating a magical ambiance. The infrastructure includes terraces, amphitheaters, domes, esplanades, commercial areas, and entertainment spaces.

The beauty of the beach in front of the lagoon, versatile spaces, and the ability to cover large areas with sheltered, temperature-controlled tents make the PAL® projects an extraordinary venue for events throughout the year, regardless of the season.

But they do not only contribute to the urban sphere. From a sustainable standpoint, developing these complexes worldwide would reduce the equivalent of 40% of the carbon footprint in the tourism and transportation sector, amounting to 14 million tons of CO2. This is because bringing beach life with turquoise waters and white sands to any city would decrease transportation to coastal destinations and natural beaches by approximately 50%.
