Crystal Lagoons Expands in Egypt
14 February, 2025 / News
- Multinational innovation company signed a new project in its most relevant market in the Middle East.
Mountain View Evia is the new project that Crystal Lagoons will develop in Egypt. It is a luxury second-home complex that will be located in Ras El Hikma, a coastal town on the Mediterranean Sea, adding to the numerous other real estate developments that the multinational innovation company has in the area.
Leading developer
The project is in partnership with Mountain View, one of Egypt’s largest real estate developers with a portfolio of more than 20 resorts. It is part of the mega-contract Crystal Lagoons signed with the company. The agreement includes five projects with eight lagoons that will bring idyllic beach life to different areas of Egypt. In addition to Mountain View Evia, both companies are already developing iCity New Cairo, the first lagoon in the country’s capital.
Crystalline lagoon as a centerpiece
The complex’s centerpiece will be a 2.7-hectare amenity powered by Crystal Lagoons® technology, suitable for swimming and water sports, and surrounded by white sandy beaches. This luxury second-home project will feature 302 houses and 1,602 apartments around the turquoise-colored body of water.
Despite being on the second or third waterfront, the crystalline lagoon will allow residential units to have water facing, something that would be impossible without the innovation of Crystal Lagoons.
Success in Egypt
With more than 46 projects in different stages of development and negotiation, Egypt is the largest market for Crystal Lagoons in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, which set a record in 2024 with eight new projects signed.
Meanwhile, on the country’s North Coast, major second home projects have been completed by Sodic, Madaar Development, and Q Developments, including Caesar Bay, Azha North Lagoon, and Q North, respectively.
In addition, Crystal Lagoons is in advanced negotiations to develop Public Access Lagoons® projects, also known as PAL® complexes, accessible to all through ticketed entry, and are set to revolutionize city lifestyles and bring beach life to the doorsteps of Egyptian households.
