Crystal Lagoons Consolidates its Presence in Egypt With New Projects

16 August, 2024 / News

“The projects of Crystal Lagoons in Egypt provide added value and allow the development of second-line projects on the North Coast and the Red Sea, giving the possibility to take advantage of the region’s good weather all year round,” says Miguel Ángel Cabañas, regional director of Crystal Lagoons, referring to the impact the multinational is generating in this country, which has one of the highest numbers of lagoons globally and is the company’s main market in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

In just six months, the multinational innovation company has completed three new agreements on the North Coast, bringing the total number of projects in Egypt at various development and negotiation stages to 42. The most recent project is Caesar Bay, a luxury second-home development located in the iconic Ras el Hekma. It will offer an exclusive luxury environment and feature two monumental crystalline lagoons with Crystal Lagoons® technology as its main attraction, allowing residents to enjoy idyllic beach life.

The development, in partnership with Sodic, one of Egypt’s leading real estate firms, recognized for its award-winning and innovative projects, will be located in Ras el Hekma, a highly successful tourist area featuring 439 residential units. The other complexes materialized during the year are also on the North Coast. They are Azha North Lagoon, with the firm Madaar Development, and Q North, in partnership with Q Developments.

Crystalline lagoons have become the preferred real estate amenity in Egypt. Among the multinational’s commercial partners in Egypt are renowned developers such as Hassan Allam Properties, Tatweer Misr, Citystars, Golden Pyramids Plaza, Madaar, Arco Egypt, Dar Al Mimar Group, Jumeirah Egypt, M2 Developments, Maxim Development, Porto Group, and Remco Group.

Among the Crystal Lagoons complexes in this country, the second largest crystalline lagoon in the world stands out in the Citystars Sharm El Sheikh project. It is an 11.3-hectare oasis in the middle of the desert that, thanks to Crystal Lagoons® technology, harnesses the desert’s underground water sources to create a gigantic crystalline lagoon.
