One of the world’s most important media, The Telegraph, devoted a new recognition to the iconic crystalline lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar, outstanding as one of the most impressive lagoons in the world due to its 8 hectares, 1 kilometer of longitude and 250 thousand cubic meters of water.

The British publication states that “for sheer scale, it’s impossible to beat the pool at the San Alfonso del Mar resort. It’s set around a manmade lagoon, more than a kilometre long, covering eight acres, filled with more than 60 million litres of treated saltwater. It’s all surrounded by white sand beaches and if you get bored of swimming you can even take small boats out to sail in the pool”.

Since San Alfonso del Mar was certified as the world’s largest crystalline lagoon in 2007, it became a world attraction that until today it raises the interest of a myriad media in many countries. In fact, just six months after being certified by Guinness, there were more than 2000 TV, newspaper and magazine reporters visiting the lagoon.
