Worldwide media outlets praise Crystal Lagoons’ new World Guinness Record

9 November, 2015 / News

Media outlets all over the world have praised Crystal Lagoons’ new World Record Guinness in Egypt.

Crystal Lagoons has been awarded its second Guinness World Record for the largest crystal-clear lagoon in the world, breaking its own 2007 Guinness World Record for the iconic 20-acre crystal-clear lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar in Chile.

This time the World Guinness Record goes to the 30-acre mega-lagoon at Citystars Sharm El Sheikh, a popular tourist resort in one of Egypt’s most luxurious coastal towns.

The project is the result of a partnership deal between Crystal Lagoons and the Sharbatly family, one of the oldest and most prominent families in the Middle Eastern and Africa. It was made possible thanks to Crystal Lagoons’ technology –patent protected in 160 countries- that provided added real estate value to the development, by taking unusable water and using it in deserted, undevelopable land.

Citystars Sharm El Sheikh is Crystal Lagoons’ first mixed-use project in the world in which the company’s technology will be used for both recreational and water desalination purposes, using the water within the complex.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
