Iconic Crystal Lagoons’ Project Selected as Top Tourist Destination13 April, 2018 / News
San Alfonso del Mar, one of the most iconic clear water lagoon project powered by Crystal Lagoons®, has recently made the shortlist of the world’s top tourist destination, according to online media.
The 7-hectare man made lagoon at San Alfonso del Mar was the very first project of multinational water-innovation company, Crystal Lagoons. It is worth mentioning that it held the Guinness World Record for the world’s largest man-made lagoon from 2007 until 2015. The record was eventually broken by another Crystal Lagoon project, this time in Egypt.
In addition to the Largest Crystal Clear Lagoon on Earth, San Alfonso del Mar boasts an infrastructure brimming with cutting edge technologies, such as man-made white sand beach areas with swimming pools and both outdoor and indoor Jacuzzi tubs (inside a crystal pyramid unique in South America), solar heating, and water currents and cascades.
The real-estate complex also comprises 1,400 residential units, in addition to restaurants, pubs, nightclubs, movie theaters and exhibition galleries, an amphitheater, a spa, a gym, boat slips, docks and a giant slide.
Crystal Lagoons is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size clear water lagoons at very low costs.
