El Mercurio: Crystal Lagoons bets on its growth in Argentina and totalizes 5 projects

The multinational company based in Miami –linked to Fernando Fischmann and being present in 60 countries– has recently inaugurated its first urban project in Buenos Aires, having already 6 developments in Argentina. Terralagos is a first-house development located in Canning, close to Ezeiza International Airport, just 30 minutes away from Argentina’s capital.

The project that represents a total investment of US$ 155 million, is carried out by Crystal Lagoons in partnership with Repsa and Morvial groups, the commercialization of the project being managed by Castex.

This is the first navigable crystal clear lagoon that opens in Argentina. With 5 hectares in size, it has white sand beaches.

 Terralagos extends over a 270-hectare site land. It considers 1290 lots and 500 apartment units in 15 buildings. It also considers sports facilities.

With Terralagos, Crystal Lagoons totalizes five projects in development in Argentina. The others are Lagoon Pilar, Remeros Beach, Lagoon Hudson and Acquavista. The firm is also evaluating other projects in cities such as Mendoza, Rosario and Mar del Plata.

In regard to the reason to come to Argentina, Crystal Lagoons’ comercial director, Francisco Matte, said: “The business model of the company is to establish partnership agreements with real estate developers, providing the concept and technology in return to a percentage of the sales, thus minimizing risks. In addition, there are signs that the forecast better perspective for the Argentinean market”.

In regard to the characteristics of the other projects in Argentina, the company said that Lagoon Pilar will also be located at 30 minutes from Buenos Aires. It will represent a total investment of US$ 80 million and a 3.3-hectare crystal clear lagoon.

Remeros Beach will be located in Tigre, northern Buenos Aires. It will have more than 170 built square meters and a 4-hectare lagoon. Acquavista will be in Córdoba, Argentina’s second largest city and it will be the first Crystal Lagoon project outside Buenos Aires. It will represent a total investment of US$ 75 million, and it will feature a 2.7-hectare lagoon.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which has developed a patent-protected technology that allows the construction and maintenance of unlimited-size crystal clear lagoons at very low costs.
