15 June, 2022 / News

Crystal Lagoons creates idyllic beaches with crystal clear lagoons and white sands, in places where it was previously unthinkable. Sustainable technology changes the landscape, generating an environment of turquoise waters that can be enjoyed all year round, increasing, like no other amenity, the value of properties and sales prices.

These crystalline lagoons quickly become the meeting point for thousands of people, as they offer new public spaces of value and quality of life, providing social inclusion, recreation and relaxation, especially in cities far from the coast or congested.

This is shown by Luxury Pools magazine in its report “Manufactured Lagoons Create Waterfront Properties Anywhere in the World”, highlighting the SoLéMia projects, in Miami, Mohammed Bin Rashid City, in Dubai, and MahaSamutr, in Thailand.

The magazine notes that crystalline lagoons offer idyllic beaches of crystal clear water perfect for lounging under the palm trees, or staying active with water sports like paddleboarding and kayaking. Serving as a social connector and sustainable feature in developments around the World, these massive lagoons are being built as a community centerpiece.

Solé Mia, in North Miami, is not only raising the neighborhood market valuebut the luxury amenity standards by housing arguably one of the most unprecedented amenities in a rental community with South Florida’s first man-made lagoon, Laguna Solé, an eye-popping, swimmable Caribbean-blue body of fresh water that spans seven acres, including sandy beach areas and its own little island. The city-within-a-city will eventually be anchored around the impressive engineering feat, bringing waterfront living to a part of Miami that’s not technically on the water. The amenity crown-jewel is the size of 21 Olympic-sized pools and provides the Shoreline residents with sandy beachesand a waterfront location where they can swim, paddleboard, kayak or float on luxury loungers.

Mohammed Bin Rashid City is the world’s largest crystalline lagoon, an immense 40-hectare body of turquoise water. This gigantic lagoon stretches for seven kilometers and is surrounded by white sand beaches, palm trees and promenades. The environment will have lush green landscapes, which will give the impression of being in a true oasis.

Around the mega lagoon, corporate towers, industrial parks, sports areas, large public parks, water parks, the Meydan One Mall -the largest in the world-, more than 100 hotels and 1500 new super luxury residential condominiums will be built.

The Mahasamutr luxury resort, in Hua Hin, one of the main tourist centers in the Gulf of Thailand and less than 200 km south of Bangkok, stands out for the 7.2-hectare crystal-clear lagoon in the middle of an environment marked by nature. The central point around which the villas and the rest of the facilities are distributed. Like many other lagoons, this amenity with pristine waters is surrounded by idyllic beaches, ideal for relaxing with the family or learning a new water sport, such as kayaking, paddle boarding, and swimming.
