Crystal Lagoons’ forthcoming projects to revolutionize the U.S. market

1 September, 2015 / News

Renowned American specialty publication Pool & Spa News recently highlighted Crystal Lagoons forthcoming projects in the U.S.

The magazine published an article reporting that the multinational company, the current holder of the World Guinness Record for the world’s largest crystal clear lagoon, has plans to install several massive lagoons in the U.S.

Today, Crystal Lagoons has eight projects in development in the United States and is negotiating another 35, said Uri Man, the company’s CEO. The trend is largely driven by real-estate developers who are buying in on the prospect of turning any project into a beach-front property.

Future projects include two 10-acre lagoons that will sit next to residential high rises in a $4 billion complex in North Miami, and an 11-acre behemoth lagoon in a master-planned community in Orange, Fla. The company is also making headway in Texas and California, as well as Arizona, where it plans to build a public beach, Man said.

Crystal Lagoons’ technology uses disinfection pulses that make it possible to reduce chemical product consumption to levels up to 100 times inferior to those of conventional swimming pools. The technology also uses an ultrasonic filtration system that demands up to 50 times less energy than conventional filtration systems.

The Miami based company built its first mega-lagoon at the San Alfonso del Mar resort in Chile. With 20 acres it was declared the largest crystal clear lagoon in the world by the 2007 Guinness World Records annual. The company has more than 300 projects in 60 countries.

Crystal Lagoons Corp. is an international innovation company, founded by scientist Fernando Fischmann, which developed a patent-protected technology that makes it possible to build and operate crystal clear lagoons of unlimited size at very low costs.
